Our Work

Glenelg Estuary & Discovery Bay Ramsar wetlands

A project with the Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority and partners to benchmark awareness and understanding of this wetland complex of international importance, deliver a communication and engagement strategy and a range of products to promote the site.

Riverine Recovery Participatory Budgeting project

Using South Australia’s yourSAy online framework we asked communities along the River Murray to come up with projects that leave a lasting legacy of knowledge, information and understanding of wetland management and riverine recovery. Eligible projects went back to the community to select those they wanted undertaken.

Participatory budgeting is a process of democratic deliberation and decision-making that involves citizens in deciding how public funds are spent. It is also a great engagement tool because it encourages community engagement throughout the process: when calling for applications, when asking the public to select their favourite projects, when implementing projects and when reporting project outcomes.
